I have a great, retro shiny silver, 6-foot Christmas tree from the 1960s – bought it on eBay from an antiques dealer. I have the cool spinning, 4-color wheel that makes it sparkle. (Admit it, you oldsters know exactly what I’m talking about!) It wasn’t too expensive for a decorative item, but it WOULD be heinously expensive as a cat toy.
My question for you: how did your cats deal with one of these trees? Did they savage it? Disdain it? Fear it?
My fuzzy monsters have been fairly well-behaved for the last two Christmases when we had a cut pine tree. There was some drama with the ornaments on the lower branches, but that’s about it.
I had these as a young girl, late 80s. They were velvet-like animals, small, could move arms, heads, legs, doll-like. They came with clothes you could put them in along with houses, and there were different animal families like bunnies, bears, etc. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
i’m totally redesigning my bedroom 
it’s a largish rectangle room, with built in wardrobes but i can get rid of them. i have a green carpet, but i might be able to get rid of that. although a wooden floor would probably go more with the style of room i’m after, i want a carpet. i really like designs like this,

but i also really like kitcsh things, and cute toys like dinosaurs and bows and some scene and retro things. i don’t want to many patterns so i can buy things which will fit in easily.
the colours i would concider for my room are yellow, blue, purple and possibly green?
can you fabulous people help me put together colour schemes and ideas?
