Anothe item I orderd through Amazon and never received. Had to buy it from a local store in time for Christmas. Will never order from Amazon again!

If you grew up in the 80’s chances are you’ll know some of the questions. Some we found rather hard though. It got boring quickly. The game pieces were neat and the price was way better than any department store. Might be more fun after a few beers!

We were very excited to play this game. On Christmas night a group of five family members…all with college degrees and advanced degrees…tried our hand at this game. Three of us were actually people who grew up in the 80s. I think out of about 50 questions we could answer…maybe 3…….We got frustrated…put it away…opened some brewskis…and watched CARS with the little guys.

I dont consider myself a genius nor do I consider myself Forrest Gumps little sister, but this game made me feel like hollering Run Forrest Run.. I thought at first that this would be perfect because I was a child of the 80’s. To me it would better if in 1980 you were already in your mid 20’s because if not some of these questions you just wont know. In other words most of them are for people who were adults in the 80’s and not people who were 10-19 in the 80’s.
They also word questions strangely when the question could have been simplified.
For instance here is one question that is not only hard but also worded oddly therefore making it harder than it should have been,
What Minute Maid citrus blend, contrary to a song by the Barenaked Ladies, was not made famous from apples, cheese, and broccoli?
Answer: Five Alive
What was the first home video game to let players take a bead on wildlife with Nintendo’s patented “light gun” controller?
Answer: Duck Hunt.
Why not word that question differently and leave out the word “bead”?
What actress who played Flo in the movie Alice Dont Live Here Anymore, appeared as Flo’s replacement Belle on the tv series Alice?
Answer:Diane Ladd (This could have been asked more easily by saying which actress played Flo in the “Alice dont live here anymore” movie and then played Belle in the tv series Alice.)
What European lake was systematically swept by sonar cruisers in 1987’s Operation Deepscan?
Answer:Loch Ness
What Steven Speilberg movie re-used the model of a German U-boat built for Das Boot?
Answer: Raiders of the lost ark
What Lisa Birnbach tome featured the cover line: “Look, Mufy, a book for us”?
Answer:The Official Preppy Handbook ( I didnt even understand the question)
What retail giant was the only suitable place to buy Raymond Babbitt’s boxer shorts in Rain Man
Answer: Kmart (that one you might could get, why not say “What store did Raymond Babbitt want to go and buy his underware from”?
What series aired between the Cosby Show and Cheers in 1987, did Tv Guide call “the worst sitcom in recent memory to do so well in the ratings”?
Answer: A Different World (why not just ask what show came on after The Cosby Show but before Cheers?
What firm set a record for profits on Wall Street in 1986 thanks to Michael Milkens shady dealings?
Answer:Drexel Burnham Lambert (that name just rolls of the tongue huh?– this is why I say its better if you were already an adult when the 80’s rolled around. Most of the Headline Categories are like this question.
Who became Lieutenant governor of Massachusetts in 1980, the year Michael Dukakis won a second term as governor?
Answer: John Kerry.
In 1980 I was 9 and living in Mississippi I would not have known that.
I just think this game is harder than it should be. The questions are also worded funny and should have been simpler. IF you dont understand the question you have no chance giving an answer. Phrased differently tho, and you might could answer the question.
If they have a 90’s version out right now or it comes out one day, I’ll probably buy that because in the 90’s I was an adult in my 20’s Well I became a 20 year old in 1991.
If I was going to buy this I would ask friends if they wanted to go in together on the price of this game and then let it belong to all of us and whoever is having company over and wants to play it, gets it that weekend. I wouldnt spend the money on it again.

This game is to much work to have a fun time. I would not recommed spending $30 for it.
